Acrylic, 24″ x 24″  This piece was created for the Lake of the Woods Outdoor Art Show in 2014. The theme was “Beneath the Surface”. I used a textured background to create harmony throughout the piece. Then I chose a turtle image to depict “beneath the surface of the water” and I superimposed tulips on the turtle’s shell to depict “beneath the soil”.
