Dragons exist in the myths and folklore of every culture around the world. In Celtic mythology, dragons have the task of guarding the gates to heaven and the underworld. Because it’s part of my heritage, I try to incorporate elements of Celtic design in my work. Note the cathedral and Celtic crosses in the background.

I started painting dragons in March 2020…who knows why…but they quickly became a visual representation of our COVID-19 battles. Since then, I’ve branched out, creating all kinds of dragons in various media. The magic of fantasy is so much fun, I’ve set a goal of 100 dragon images.
